US medical testing, cancer screenings plunge during lockdowns

A report from Komodo Health shows prevention and screening tests have fallen substantially in the past month during the lockdown, with cervical screenings 68%, cholesterol panels 67% and blood sugar tests 65%.


This is a key reason why our current lockdown-based social distancing strategies need to be revised soon -- we need to be vigilant, but there are many important aspects of life that we need to find a way to resume in a safe and careful way, and preventative medicine is one of them.
