The 5-day window of asymptomatic spread

Another insightful blog post by Erin Bromage talking about a study published by Nature that demonstrated that unlike other viruses like the flu and SARS-1, SARS-CoV-2 has an asymptomatic spread of 5 days, which is expected to be responsible for its fast spread and difficulty to control.
One of his conclusions is that mask-wearing is therefore a key strategy in combating this virus as we move out of lockdowns, a viewpoint I strongly share.
